Administrative Protections

Administrative Protections are ways to maintain and preserve wilderness and other conservation-worthy public lands by working with agencies like the U.S. Forest Service (FS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Park Service (NPS) and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Wildlife Refuges (NWR). When these agencies make significant decisions regarding land management, the agencies typically must include citizen input.
